Top Ten Tuesday: Top 10 New Adult book recommendation

84678-toptentuesday

The topic of this Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, is a freebie. So I was trying to think of an interesting list, I couldn’t. So I decided to do a Top 10 New Adult book recommendation since that’s what I was looking for yesterday!

These are in no particular order. I think all of these Except Ugly Love are series. On top of loving these 10 books, I have liked all others in the series as well. I know I didn’t go too much into detail but my computer is dying and I don’t have a charger 😦

  1. I don’t really read NA, but I’ve been wanting to try Colleen Hoover. I recently read Never Never by her and Tarryn Fisher and LOVED it. I believe a blogger friend has sent me one of CoHo’s books, so I’m looking forward to it! I’ve been seeing Sweet Filthy Boy all over the place too, so I should check that out.
I did my TTT on reasons to read comics. 🙂

    1. I think if you Like Jessica Sorenson and Cora Reilly you would Like Cora Carmack and K.A. Tucker for sure! But I know not everyone likes NA. When I first started reading NA it was a disaster I went through so many badly written books until I discovered Chelsea Fine and Jen Frederick.
      Thanks for stopping by 🙂

      1. Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve read Cora Carmack’s Faking It because I like fake couple-storylines. I like the story but didn’t love it like the ones I mentioned. I’ll check out K.A. Tucker.

  2. I love NA – this is a great list! Ugly Love would definitely top my list on NA reads. Anything by Colleen Hoover, really. I also loved Beautiful Bastard and Sweet Filthy Boy. I’m going to have to check out the rest of these!

  3. I LOVE I mean Love Christina Lauren. Those authors are like freaking romance geniuses 🙂
Then I also feel Colleen Hoover can do no wrong. Anything she writes I love. I must confess I haven’t read Never Never and I don’t know if I intend to. something in me tells me not to. I dont know why and that sounds totally weird lol. Another good author I just discovered is Jay Mclean, she reminds me a lot of Colleen Hoover

  4. I’m new to reading NA and I’ve actually been looking for some more books to read in this category. I haven’t read any of these so I’ll give one or two a try.

    1. I like Ya when it comes to fantasy, paranormal, and other odd things. But Im not big on the contemporary romances anymore. There are some I like, but mostly I like reading the NA stuff. For me personally its weird reading about 16 yr olds doing stuff further than kissing. Thats when I looked into the NA genre

      1. I’ve been encouraged to try NA but they’re mostly all driven by the same tropes–so that didn’t really help in increasing my willingness. But Never Never had that slight edge of being a bit darker, a bit more twisted, and definitely something that I could see myself reading haha.

And yes, I have read stuff by Sanderson! He’s a boss and among my favourite authors for stellar world building.

          1. Length can be daunting but I think with Sanderson, he does pacing incredibly well that it shouldn’t feel like it drags. You could always start off with one of his “shorter” story novels/series rather than tackling the behemoth ones. I’m sure there’s bound to be something your husband will enjoy.

  5. I’m pretty picky when it comes to new adult and never know which ones to give a try, so I love your list! I really enjoyed Ugly Love, and after reading the description for Losing Control, I definitely want to read that one. Great picks 🙂

  6. Dying computers are the worst. 😉 I’ve only read like 3 NA books and they were horribly lousy, so I ought to check these out! I need a good NA experience!! Thanks for stopping by @ Paper Fury!

  7. I think I have only read two NA books and they scarred me for life haha I read Beautiful Disaster and ugh I hated the characters and the A Little Too Far which was mega weird – I don’t like romance in books so I probably should have steered clear of those books haha. I want a good Paranormal/Dystopian type NA book but I don’t know if they even exist!

  8. I’m trying to give NA more of a go so this list will hopefully help me! (And just cos no one asked me, a NA series I quite enjoyed last yr was the Ivy Years trilogy – you should check it out). I really like your blog name by the way 🙂 – Rachel

      1. They’re by Sarina Bowen – 1. The Year We Fell Down, 2. The Year We Hid Away, and 3. The Understatement Of The Year (I loved 3, really enjoyed 1 but found 2 a little underwhelming). Would love to hear your thoughts if you do end up giving them a go 🙂 – Rachel
