Thirteen years ago…his world fell apart after his soul mate left him in the middle of an unforeseen tragedy that would bind them together forever. Ever since, sexy Fireman Jake Maguire busied himself by putting out fires in buildings and starting them in women, all in an attempt to extinguish the fire she set off in him all those years ago.
Thirteen years ago…she made the hardest decision of her life. For every tear, every heartache, Tessa Hayes reminded herself that she made that sacrifice out of love. Sweet, caring Tessa always put the interests of others before her own, no matter what the cost.
She sacrificed her heart for his life. He lived without living. Now they had the chance to mend their broken hearts together…but would Tessa and Jake have the courage to do it?
**Intended for Adults 18+**
This is book #8 in the Hope Falls Series by sister duo Melanie Shawn! It can be read as a standalone, but know that some of the couples from previous books are in this novel. I didn’t start with book 1 and that’s because I was just looking for a cute Christmas romance to read. Now, don’t go into this book expecting a Christmas romance, because I did. Why? I have no idea, maybe the title or the cover, but, it’s ok because the book still left me feeling all warm and fuzzy!
Let It Snow is a second chance love story between Jake and Tessa. Second chance love stories are pretty high up there on tropes I enjoy the most. Especially in contemporary romances like this one!
Tessa is a photographer who has to come home to Hope Falls to settle her grandmother’s (who passed a few months earlier) estate.
Jake is Hope Falls HOT Fire Chief, and one of my favorite male hero’s! I don’t really know how to explain him, I guess Alpha Male without the doucheness! He really is a great guy and I love that we get to see how he feels in this book. I love that more and more authors are bringing in the duel POV.
I gave this book 4.5 out of 5 stars, I rated it for what it is. A light, sweet, and fun romance. It isn’t deep, it isn’t literature at its finest, but I enjoyed it for what I was wanting at the time.
