Guest Review: Confess by Colleen Hoover

22609310Auburn Reed has her entire life mapped out. Her goals are in sight and there’s no room for mistakes. But when she walks into a Dallas art studio in search of a job, she doesn’t expect to find a deep attraction to the enigmatic artist who works there, Owen Gentry.

For once, Auburn takes a risk and puts her heart in control, only to discover Owen is keeping major secrets from coming out. The magnitude of his past threatens to destroy everything important to Auburn, and the only way to get her life back on track is to cut Owen out of it.

The last thing Owen wants is to lose Auburn, but he can’t seem to convince her that truth is sometimes as subjective as art. All he would have to do to save their relationship is confess. But in this case, the confession could be much more destructive than the actual sin…

I’m just now reading confess, and I should really get in trouble for that! This is such a good book. I admit, I’m a Colleen fan, but I’m not being bias. I promise! There’s secrets, confessions, and all kinds of things that kept me glued to my book. Speaking of book, it’s beautiful. I love the cover (it’s setting on my shelf), and the art inside is amazing! How the confessions and art go together in the book is really emotional and beautiful. I honestly loved it.
As soon as I started the prologue I knew this would be a sad book. Colleen always likes to play with our emotions, and she does it well. It kept me reading though, hoping they’d get the happy ending they deserve. I didn’t connect with Auburn like I hoped I would, but loved Owen. Omg! His secrets scared me, but the way he loves, made me love him. His tenderness with Auburn, and the emotion he puts into his art really made me fall for him.
We all have secrets, Auburn and Owen are no exception. You’ll want to read this to get their confessions!

I have the tattoos to prove it! My social life is nonexistent, so I read a lot, chug coffee, and watch too much TV. Don’t judge me lol. When I’m not reading I’m busy being a mom. I’m always home, but when I do manage to go out I love going to the movies.
